Chrissy Bray

Business Development Manager

After 12 years within retail sales and management, Chrissy, a trained vet nurse, ventured into territory sales management with Effem Foods. She managed their veterinary specialist diets and premium pet food range for clients across the South Island. After 2 successful years, she joined Boehringer Ingelheim moving into veterinary pharmaceuticals working with small and large animal products and practitioners.  Five years later Chrissy transferred to Western Australia with Boehringer to open up a new territory for them and quickly established a successful business environment. She was relocated back to New Zealand as the National Sales Manager for Boehringer's Veterinary Division, a position she successfully held for more than two years.

Chrissy was asked to join Pfizer Animal Health in their marketing team, managing products within their companion animal segment. There for more than 6 years she marketed: Revolution, the companion animal vaccines portfolio and a third party range of dermatological products, all of which experienced significant year on year growth.   Aside from continuing to study, wanting to further develop marketing skills and widen retail channel experience, Chrissy joined NZ company Douglas Pharmaceuticals marketing the Clinicians range of health supplements, Phloe and Bio Oil for two years. The last 14 months were spent within the dental sector, managing the multi-million dollar equipment portfolio achieving double digit growth for Ivoclar Vivadent, a global dental business supplying dental units and plant equipment to dentists across New Zealand.

Chrissy is very pleased to have joined our business. She is passionate about providing a great customer experience. Her main focus within Gribbles Labnet over the coming months will be building our analytics business with existing customers as well as new business acquisition.

Chrissy is based in Christchurch.

Courtney Browne

Technical Consultant

NZCSc (Animal Physiology & Microbiology)

Courtney started his career in science working for Tasman Vaccine Laboratories (TVL) in Upper Hutt. Here he was involved with Vaccine Production using Tissue Culture & managing the freeze drying of these vaccines.

After two years at TVL, Courtney joined the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MAF) Wallaceville facility at Upper Hutt, where he worked in the Serology Section. The major focus there was the Brucellosis Eradication Scheme, which is rated as one of MAF’s best success story.

Following the wind up of this scheme after 10 years, he worked in the Diagnostic Microbiology Section team at MAF Quality Management’s Lincoln Animal Health Laboratory. In his time at Lincoln he started up the Food Microbiology Section, mainly servicing the Christchurch region. Upon the dissolution of MAF Quality management in 1998, the Food Microbiology business was bought out by Envrolink Laboratories, effectively increasing their size five-fold overnight.

Whilst carrying on with laboratory work and business development, he established a strong commercial relationship between Envrolink & LABNET. Courtney also established a wide network of laboratory contacts throughout NZ, enabling him to outsource unusual test requests testing in an efficient and cost effective manner.

In 2008, he joined Gribbles Labnet as a sales and technical consultant, based in Christchurch.
